Reference is an art gallery and music venue located in Richmond, Virginia. Started in summer 2009 by friends Conor Backman, Ross Iannatti, James Shaeffer, and Edward Shenk, Reference is a space for new art and music from the 21st century's best and brightest talents. Our mission is to introduce up-and-coming artists from around the world to Richmond, as well as promote artists in our city.
